For optimal performance, replace the filter every 6 months or after 200 gallons. This Everydrop Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter 4 is a direct replacement for model EDR4RXD1.
**Installation Guide:**
1. Remove the expired water filter from the refrigerator (Note how it was installed).
2. Wet the nozzles of the new water filter (This can aid installation).
3. Insert the new filter in the same manner as the expired one.
4. Run 4 gallons of water through the filter before first use.
5. Reset the water filter expiration timer on your refrigerator.
*Note: Replace filters every 4 to 6 months.*
